Generative AI policy

Introduction

This policy refers to Soleil Marketing Ltd’s use of generative AI tools.

What generative AI tools are used

  • ChatGPT
  • Gemini
  • ClickUp AI
  • Notion AI
  • MidJourney
  • NotebookLM

How these tools are used

This list is not exhaustive but covers the most common usage:

  • Critiquing and evaluating content ideas, outlines, structure and heading suggestions
  • Note-taking in calls, meeting summaries
  • Assistance with operations e.g. project, financial and client management
  • Fact-checking and sense-checking
  • Troubleshooting complex technical issues at speed

Why generative AI is used

As with all micro businesses, time is our greatest resource, and so efficiency is important. Using generative AI is just another evolution in the use of technology – although a hugely powerful one – for creating efficiency. It also helps with critical thinking and ensuring our work is the best it can be.

However, maintaining quality, originality and reducing bias is equally important, which is why I/we will never create anything fully from generative AI alone with no human input.

Offsetting the environmental and social impacts of generative AI

As part of B Corp certification, I already contribute towards rewilding projects and offset the small proportion of carbon generated. For 2025-26 I aim to include generative AI in our carbon emissions calculation and offset this by supporting local, certified projects.

I also offer training to help educate marketers and marketing teams about how to use generative AI mindfully.

If you have any questions

Drop me an email at maria@soleilmarketing.co.uk. I’m happy to discuss any part of this policy to see if there are ways we can continue to strike a good balance in our use of gen AI in our services.
